Mission Statement

The McCook Police Department will provide public service with empathy, integrity, honor, and professionalism. We stand with courage to face all situations and offenders that threaten the rights, property, and lives of our citizens while enforcing the law within the framework of the United States Constitution.          

Services Provided

To fulfill this mission, the McCook Police Department is dedicated to providing a quality work environment and the development of its members through effective training and leadership. We further believe that proactive law enforcement is an attainable goal of our community’s future.

The McCook Police Department is committed to provide leadership in the cooperative efforts of the public, area agencies, and the schools by implementing a comprehensive juvenile plan for the community to better identify and address issues involving McCook’s youth, including school safety and drug abuse. We believe our children are our highest hope and most precious natural resource. We are committed to the maintenance of close working relationships with the individuals, groups, and businesses of our community.
